Day 1

As I'm sure happens to all of us at the beginning of our fasts... I had so many terrible close encounters with food today but I'm happy to say that I managed to escape them all and say no. I am so grateful I was able to stay strong, thanks to the support of some of my followers, because I really needed to break the cycle of my perpetual "I'll just eat a little and start tomorrow instead" syndrome.

The sun is setting, which means the evening binge demon will soon cast it's shadow upon me... but I am ready for war tonight because I need to fight for the gift I know I am so close to receiving. I feel so determined and I am looking forward to working out tonight once I start feeling the urges to go to the kitchen.

In addition to exercising, I am looking forward to using the new juicer I bought for myself over the holidays. This morning I got some spinach, carrot and pomegranate as my items for juicing this week as well as a few gallons of water. I need to stay isolated and drink a ton of fluids this week and resist with all the strength inside me.

Stay empty, my loves.

  3. I LOVE that pic.

I too fight the evening binge monster...and usually lose. :( But I keep on fighting!

I am so jealous of you and your new juicer! I have been wanting to get one but instead broke down and bought a ridiculously expensive blender last summer for my smoothies. Seriously. I bought a Vitamix. The cheapest ones are $400! It took me 10 months to work up the nerve to buy it. I NEVER spend money like that on myself. But I have to tell you that it is the single most awesome appliance I have ever owned. No joke.

Anyway, enough about me an my love affair with my blender. lol

You are doing great girl! You motivate me to keep going.

    Be strong and stay lovely.

  4. Thanks so much girls! I wish I can invite everyone over to use the juicer! :)

A - Girl you are so motivational to me too, I hope you know that. Congrats on your blender!! I think it's really great that you spent that money on yourself, and especially on something that you can enjoy and benefit from having!

Together we can defeat the evening binge monster, haha. ;)

    Stay strong. Much love!
